| Water Pollution Control |
| Primary Treatment Section | |
| The process effluents from phenol and hydrogen peroxide plants are treated in the primary treatment section (built in the main process plants) before it is let out for secondary treatment. | |
| Secondary & Final Treatment section | |
| The effluents from different plants are collected in equalisation tanks. The combined effluent is then treated by physical, chemical and biological methods. | |
| The treated effluent conforming to Kerala State Pollution Control Board specification is discharged from the factory. | |
| Critical parameters are monitored at each stage of the operation with on line instruments for the better operation control of the treatment facility. | |
| Air Pollution Control Measures |
| A flare stack with continuous flare is taking care of any fugitive emission of gaseous vapours from the plant vents. | |
| Floating roof system for benzene storage tanks to minimize the fugitive emissions | |
| Chilled water condensers are provided for high volatile solvent storage tank vents | |
| Chilled water scrubbings and carbon absorption system is installed for minimizing hydrocarbon emission through vents | |
| Low sulphur content fuel is used to reduce SO2 emissions |
| Process Waste Management |
| Process wastes generated in our plant are collected, treated and disposed strictly complying with statutory requirement. |
| Monitoring System |
| Hydrocarbon detectors are provided at various locations of the plant to detect hydrocarbon leaks | |
| Continuous monitoring analysers are installed to monitor CO and SO2 in the flue gas from stacks | |
| Ambient air quality and stack emission are monitored at frequent intervals to closely monitor operating environment. |
